Hose - Made from 100 percent high tenacity synthetic yarn, circularly woven and completely protected and lock-in by tough highly resistant synthetic nitrile rubber, forming a single homogeneous construction. Meeting all standards set in NFPA 1961 (1992 Edition). It is lightweight, compact an durable while being snag-proof, kink resistant and immune to mildew or rot. This is one tough hose.
Couplings - Extruded aluminum expansion ring couplings with threaded connections that comply with standards set in NFPA 1963.
Service Test at 200 PSI.
Acceptance Tested at 400 PSI.
Burst Tested at 600 PSI.

This 4 1/2" x 5' hose is used with the 4 1/2" Hose Monster for flowtesting and flushing from hydrants. It is best suited for use on the pumper port so that the hose comes straight out from the hydrant to the street. If a hydrant is positioned about 5' from the curb, this configuration puts the Hose Monster and the flowing water directly in the street gutter with minimal interference with traffic.
