The Hydrant Slow Close Gate Valve is used for fire flow testing and main flushing to control the water flow from the hydrant. The use of this valve makes it easier to avoid water hammer and simplifies Hydrant Capacity Flow Tests. This valve connects directly to the 2 1/2" NST nozzle port on a hydrant and then to a hose.
